As one of Fibertex's manufacturing subsidiaries, Fibertex South Africa is a leading manufacturer and supplier of a comprehensive range of geosynthetic products throughout Africa.
The company’s manufacturing plant in Hammarsdale, KwaZulu-Natal, is the largest nonwoven geotextiles manufacturing facility in Africa, and the only facility on the continent to manufacture a nonwoven geotextile certified to 100 year durability.
Being conveniently located on the main road link to Johannesburg and close to the busiest harbour in Africa, Fibertex South Africa is perfectly positioned to meet growing demand, not only in Africa, but also from countries in Europe, Australasia and Asia.

In recognition of this fact, Fibertex South Africa’s state-of-the-art nonwoven production facility is not only ISO 9001: 2008 accredited, but also has been awarded the coveted European CE and NorgeoSpec certifications, which mean that our products are approved for supply throughout Europe and beyond. The fully equipped on-site laboratory evaluates geotextile products in accordance with SANS, EN ISO, ASTM and GRI material specifications.
Concern for the environment is critical at Fibertex and no chemical binders are used in the product or production process. In addition to the wide range of products made from virgin Polypropylene (PP), Fibertex also has a range of products based on recycled Polyester (RPET).
